Roles and Responsibilities
The Secretary of the Tungabhadra Board is responsible for:
- Administration of the Board and execution of its policies.
- Convening and managing Board meetings, preparing agenda notes, and ensuring resolution implementation.
- Overseeing water management for irrigation, power generation, and drinking water supply.
- Handling financial audits, administrative tasks, and compliance matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Officers from Central Government offices holding an analogous post or serving in Level 13 (or Level 12 with at least 3 years of service).
- Minimum 16 years of service in a Class I (A Grade) position.
- Expertise in water resource management, hydroelectric power generation, and financial administration.
- Candidates from state services of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana are not eligible.
- Must have a clean vigilance record, with no pending disciplinary cases.
Deputation Terms
- The initial deputation period is three years, extendable based on performance and recommendations.
- The selected officer will be provided accommodation, free water supply, concessional electricity, and an official vehicle.
